Sowing Sweet Peas in Autumn and Winter

Sweet peas are such a lovely thing to start at this time of year, and the best part is that they’re wonderfully hardy. If you sow them in autumn or winter, they quietly get on with building strong roots, ready to give you earlier, healthier plants in spring.

In the video below, I talk through why this is the perfect time to sow them, which composts and trays I like to use, and the simple method I follow.

If you’re unsure where to start or you’d just like some advice before you get started, pop in and see us in the Plant Area. We’re always happy to help.

See you soon,
Mandy
